The National Leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) concluded the party’s religious thanksgiving service with a visit to one of the main charismatic churches in Accra.
Led by National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the newly elected leaders joined the congregation at Perez Chapel International for worship on Sunday, January 8, 2023.
Asiedu Nketiah, in his speech, described how 2020 was a busy year for the party having elected more than 400,000 party officials in more than 47,000 elections nationwide.
That the party did not suffer victims through the whole process and have asked God for guidance and protection, it is right to return to the church to thank God for being faithful to the NDC.
“On behalf of the party, we give GH¢20,000 token to the church as a thank you to God for bringing us. Thank you very much and may God bless us all,” Asiedu Nketiah said at the end of his speech.
He then handed the envelope with the amount to some church officials as the church leader, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare was seen.
The Archbishop reminded the party in his speech to always act in a way that reflects the interests of the nation above all other interests.
He also congratulated the new executive and prayed for him.
