Ghanaian event organizer and traditional dance instructor, Van Calebs has been embroiled in a feud between movie stars and politicians John Dumelo and Fred Nuamah.

Van Calebs in a social media post called for calm and urged the two celebrities to resolve their differences.

He warned that the dispute could turn into an unexpected situation that could destroy the ambitions of the two.

“Just saw the video of my good friend Dumelo’s comments on UTV and I’m sure everything can be resolved. John and Fred are good friends, I think we can resolve this and make sure it doesn’t go bad,” he said.

But Van Calebs advised Fred Nuamah to withdraw his candidacy and throw his weight behind John Dumelo.

According to him, John Dumelo polled some good numbers in the last election and therefore it is a credible opportunity for the National Democratic Congress to wrestle for the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat.

He explained that it would be in the interest of the creative sector to have more representation in Parliament and that John Dumelo has been shown to be someone who has the interests of the constituency and the sector.

Van Caleb urged Fred Nuamah and creative Ghanaians to rally behind Dumelo and support his bid to win the seat from the incumbent Lydia Seyram Alhassan.

“John did well in the last election and I can all support him to win in 2024. Fred has a good move but I think he should step back and support Dumelo”.

Dumelo and Fred Nuamah who are known to be his friends will be running for the right to represent the NDC in the 2024 elections.

Fred Nuamah accused John Dumelo of bad faith because he said he had his friend’s blessing to contest the polls.

But John Dumelo in a UTV interview denied the claim, calling Fred Nuamah a liar. He said Fred Nuamah did not talk to him about his interest in the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat.
