Trained professionals can help companies operate efficiently, sustainably, and competitively
The National Cleaner Production Center of South Africa (NCPC-SA) invites companies interested in improving resource efficiency and saving money to register their in-house representatives and/or consultants for the upcoming NCPC-SA training course.
Since establishing the trainee program in 2010, NCPC-SA has invested a lot of time and effort in training and developing green economy sector professionals specializing in:
- resource efficient and cleaner production (RECP) intervention,
- energy management system (EnMS),
- Energy system optimization (ESO),
- renewable energy, and
- power quality.
The investment has yielded positive results, with more than 8 600 professionals trained and equipped with the necessary knowledge to help companies operate efficiently, sustainably and competitively.
Wendy da Cruz, Energy Management Consultant, joined the ranks of professionals trained by NCPC-SA in 2011 and since then has no regrets. He emphasized that with the skills gained from attending the NCPC-SA training course, “I have a wider base of services that I can provide to my clients”.
Da Cruz not only evaluates and implements EnMS interventions, he also facilitates training and conducts energy management audits. “Doing this type of work is a pleasure. There is a concrete reward,” he explained.
Since he started his introductory training up to the expert level in energy management, Da Cruz insists that “the course is absolutely invaluable”. He appreciates the national and international elements of the courses he takes.
The NCPC-SA training course material is based on the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the United Nations Environment Program RECP global network toolkit.
The Engineering Council of South Africa accredits all NCPC-SA courses. Candidates who attend all training sessions receive a Continuing Professional Development letter.
