NCAA mainstays Yukien Andrada and Tony Ynot were among the recent applicants for the PBA Rookie Draft slated Sept. 7 at SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.
Agent Charlie Dy confirmed submitting Andrada’s documents on Thursday as he takes his act to the big league upon completing his final season with San Beda University.

Ynot, on the other hand, is also set to make the jump to the big league once he completes his Season 101 campaign for College of St. Benilde. The oldest collegiate league will start on Oct. 1.

Both are among the latest to either apply or declare their intention to join the Draft before Friday’s deadline.
The NCAA allows players to enter the Draft as long as those selected won’t sign contracts until after the end of the season.

Andrada was a vital cog in San Beda’s run to the Season 99 championship two years ago with his scoring and rebounding abilities.
His older brother Yutien was known for his UAAP days with La Salle before playing in the PBA, PBA D-League, MPBL and PBA 3×3.
Ynot, who stands at 6-foot-1, formerly played for San Beda before transferring to St. Benilde where he made his debut last season. St. Benilde reached the Finals, but lost to Mapua via a sweep.
