Nancy Pelosi Doubles Down On Stinging Trump Description

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday stood by her colorful description of President Donald Trump, who she called a “vile creature” and “the worst thing on the face of the Earth.”

Pelosi laughed, but then turned serious when describing the differences between Trump’s previous term in office and what he’s doing today.

“He’s surrounded by much worse people than he was before,” she said. “There was some check on him before, but I don’t see that now. I think the people that he has appointed are probably the worst Cabinet in history.”

Pelosi served as House speaker twice, including during a portion of Trump’s previous term in office. The two had some heated encounters, like this moment in the White House when she literally stood up to the president:

A few months later, Pelosi became a social media sensation again when she was caught on camera sitting behind Trump during the State of the Union and tearing up his speech:

“It was the courteous thing to do, considering the alternatives,” Pelosi said to a reporter as she was leaving.

Trump threw a fit, claiming ― falsely ― that tearing up his speech was “very illegal.”

“The retirement of Nancy Pelosi is a great thing for America,” he told Fox News. “She was evil, corrupt and only focused on bad things for our country.”
