My Focus Now Is On Growing Ghana’s Music Industry‘ – Sarkodie | General Entertainment

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has set a tough challenge by declaring his intention to grow the music industry in Ghana.

Widely known for his love for music, Sarkodie continues to strive for the best – this time for Ghanaian music to dominate the world.

Referred to as the ‘Landlord’ of the Ghanaian music space, the rapper in a recent interview on Y 107.9 FM ‘Dryve of Your Lyfe’ said that, the next ‘Highest’ is to give back to the music industry.

Sarkodie believes that the music industry needs to dominate the world and not just be a “local champion”.

“I think my main focus now is not about music but about the industry. Yes, music needs to spread throughout the world. It still needs to dominate the world and not only be known in certain places, but you want to dominate in some areas,” he stated.

While his music has gained worldwide popularity, Sarkodie wants to expand the industry until Ghanaian music dominates globally. They see this as the next ‘high’, and they are working hard to make it a reality.

“I think personally, I will say this because I have worked hard, and this is the space I am in, I want to do something to help the industry grow and not just Sarkodie. , and that will be the next high I really do anything to give back to the industry in general (sic),” he explained.

The Ghanaian rapper has recently been trending after his stunning feature on his remake of Bob Marley’s legendary song ‘Stir It Up’ with The Wailers. The song, released two weeks ago, got Ghanaians in a chokehold and climbed to the number one spot on YouTube despite all the negative and mixed reactions it received.
