Akwaboah teased fans on TV3 New Day with his debut single, Sandi, days after releasing My Darling featuring Kwabena Kwabena.

For Akwaboah, it’s not okay to make music okay. He believes in having a support system and coming from a family of musicians has a sense of responsibility to make good music.

Referring to the contributions of his grandfather and father in the Ghanaian music scene, Akwaboah, a third generation musician, said he takes his work seriously.

“If you listen to the songs that my grandfather did, from the melody to the lyrics, they are very important and very deep. And if you listen to Dad’s songs, they’re really good.

“Being from that background, I think that everything I do should be different. You challenge yourself every time to do the best. Let’s say you put out a good song today. Challenge yourself to do better next time.

Akwaboah puts on a live show, 50 Shades of Love with Akwaboahfrom his new single, my love presenting Kwabena Kwabena, at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel on February 14.
