Mubarak Wakaso On Christian Atsu, Pleads For Privacy, Prayers | General Sports

Ghanaian footballer and close friend of Christian Atsu, Mubarak Wakaso has given news about his friend Christian Atsu who was caught in the earthquake in Turkey.

On Tuesday, news broke that Christian Atsu had been rescued from the rubble in the Turkish earthquake.

However, reports on Wednesday indicated that the former Black Stars player could not be found in a hospital in Turkey.

Mubarak Wakaso in a statement issued on social media urged Ghanaians to be careful in their statements and reports on the whereabouts of Christian Atsu.

According to the former Granada player, Christian Atsu’s family is having a difficult time trying to find the player and the least they want is false reports.

He also warned the public not to spread unsubstantiated news about Christian Atsu.

Atsu and Wakaso are believed to be good friends with a special bond. The two are often seen on social media enjoying themselves.

“After yesterday’s update from the club that Christian has been pulled out alive, we have not confirmed where Christian is.

As you can imagine, this continues to be a devastating time for the family and we are doing everything we can to find Christian.

Official updates will be provided when more information is available. Please respect the family’s privacy at this terrible time, and do not spread unsubstantiated news as this will only hinder Christian’s search efforts.
