Morgan Fassbender strikes early in Termalica Nieciecza draw against Gornik Zabrze 

German-Ghanaian forward Morgan Fassbender grabbed the headlines as his early goal earned Termalica Nieciecza a 1-1 draw at home to Gornik Zabrze in Ekstraklasa Round 21.

Fassbender struck in just the 2nd minute, finishing a sharp move to give the hosts the perfect start at Stadion Sportowy Bruk-Bet Termalica.

Termalica looked dangerous on the break but spent long spells without the ball, conceding 70% possession to the visitors while still creating two big chances from 12 shots. Their lead vanished shortly before half-time when defender Arkadiusz Kasperkiewicz turned the ball into his own net in the 40th minute to make it 1-1. Both sides pushed after the break, with Termalica making a flurry of attacking substitutions, but neither could find a winner.

Fassbender earned applause before being substituted in the 67th minute, continues to grow in importance for Termalica. In the 2025/26 Ekstraklasa season, he has made 20 appearances, scoring three goals and providing 1 assists.

The point extends Termalica’s recent run of competitive performances as they now turn their attention to a tough away trip against Raków Częstochowa on Saturday, February 21.
