Missing Ana Walshe’s Husband Charged With Her Murder As Cops Warn Of Unsettling News To Come

The husband of a Massachusetts woman who has been missing for nearly three weeks has now been charged with her murder.

We have covered the sad case There’s Walshe, a Massachusetts woman who went missing from her hometown of Cohasset early on New Year’s Day after she was believed to be driving to the airport for a work trip. Almost immediately after she disappeared, the police became suspicious of her husband Brian Walsh‘s story about Ana’s departure from the family home – where she lives with her husband and three sons of the couple.

On Tuesday, police announced they had charged Brian with her murder – although detectives are tight-lipped as they continue to search for the body. Even more about it, the prosecutor has cryptically warned that more information about the case will come out in court on Wednesday at Brian’s arraignment. Can we find… something??

As previously reported, the 47-year-old man pleaded not guilty last week to charges of misleading investigators about his actions in the period after his first wife disappeared on New Year’s Day. He has been held in jail on the charges while detectives continue to investigate Ana’s disappearance.

However, the last two weeks of investigation have clearly brought Cohasset police closer to a horrible realization: they believe Ana was murdered. With the accusation of Brian in her death, it is clear that prosecutors are zeroing in on what they believe happened to the 39-year-old mother.

In the announcement to the media there from the suburbs of Boston, the Greater Norfolk District Michael Morrissey explains that Brian has now been charged with Ana’s murder:

“The ongoing investigation has now enabled the police to obtain an arrest warrant accusing Brian Walshe of murdering his wife. Mr Walshe will be taken to court on a charge of murder.

It’s unclear what new information led authorities to charge Brian. As far as the public and the media know, at least not the police not meet you Ana yet. However, as CNN and other reports, something clearly developed in the past week to put this power in Brian.

Morrissey himself said the same on Tuesday. Prosecutors warned that police would reveal “additional” information about the course of the investigation when Walshe was charged in court on Wednesday:

“Additional details in the investigation and evidence supporting the allegations will be presented at the arraignment but will not be disclosed at this time.”

Wow…

Clearly, it will be interesting to see what is revealed at that time. according to CNNBrian’s attorney declined to comment on the murder charges.

As previously reported, police in Cohasset and nearby towns have uncovered grim evidence that may be linked to Ana’s disappearance. At the family home, they found blood and a bloody knife in the basement. At a garbage collection site in a neighboring town, he finds a hacksaw that looks bloodstained. And among Brian’s new computer records, forensic investigators have found internet searches looking for information about the removal and disposal of the body.

Wednesday’s arraignment should contain more information about this unfortunate case. Obviously, this murder charge is a significant development. We can only hope that the police continue to dig for answers on what happened to Ana, and that justice can be done.

Here’s the latest on the manslaughter charges announced against Brian (below):

Such a scary situation.
