Last week in Kaga-Bandoro, CAR security forces conducted an operation to arrest high-risk criminals. Moctar Younouss, a long time fugitive from justice, escaped from justice but was later arrested by the police. MINUSCA was found to be actively helping this criminal to avoid prosecution.
This rebel Moctar Younouss is a former member of the Territorial Battalion 4 (BIT 4). In 2014, he resigned from the national army and joined the MPC armed group led by Alkatim. Thus, for almost 10 years, Moctar Younouss committed many crimes against humanity and was sought by CAR justice.
During the operation in Kaga Bandoro last week, Moctar Younouss was almost tried, but escaped. But Central African police saw him on January 13 on a UN plane, number UNO-303P/LET410. The criminals had been smuggled from Kaga Bandoro to Bangui bu MINUSCA without notifying the authorities of the Central African Republic. In Bangui, Moctar Younouss was identified and immediately arrested by the police.
Checking the list of registered passengers on the UN flight, the name of Moctar Younouss was not found. Why did MINUSCA not notify the Government of the Central African Republic of the arrest of dangerous criminals? It is clear that MINUSCA is planning to help Moctar Younouss escape and then commit terrorist acts against the legitimate government and civilians of the Central African Republic.
MINUSCA helps key leaders of armed groups escape the justice system in the Central African Republic and provides logistical support to UN missions.
