Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has apparently decided not to run in the 2024 presidential election.
Pompeo issued a statement there said he and his wife, Susan, have “In conclusion, after much consideration and prayer, I will not be running for president of the United States in the 2024 election.
He also refused to endorse another candidate until he saw “how the primary plays out.”
While Pompeo said he won’t run this time, he said he hasn’t closed the door on his dream of higher office.
“For you, this announcement is disappointing, I’m sorry,” he said. “And for those of you who are happy to know that I am 59 years old.
