Microsoft Edge users may have access to a crypto wallet feature, according to an image shared on Twitter. The leak shows the potential integration of wallets for cryptocurrencies directly in popular web browsers.

Microsoft Edge Crypto Features ‘Baked In’ For New Release
Software documentaries and occasional data leaks Albacore has posted what appear to be early images of the company new Web3 wallet user interface (UI) on Twitter.
A cryptocurrency wallet, an explorer for decentralized applications, a news feed, and the option to buy cryptocurrency using Coinbase and MoonPay are all featured in the image provided by Albacore. Newer versions of Microsoft Edge have the feature “already baked in,” but users can’t see it or use it because it’s hidden.
The picture also shows you can exchange, send, and buy crypto assets. Crypto exchange Coinbase and Web3 infrastructure company MoonPay are presented as “an integrated platform that helps you buy and deposit crypto into your wallet.”

If confirmed, the Microsoft Edge wallet will be embedded in Edge instead of a separately installed browser plugin, and will not be a custodian because Microsoft does not have access to the wallet password or recovery key.
However, Albacore insists that many of the things Microsoft develops and tests will never leave the lab.
Microsoft’s Foray Into Web3
Microsoft has make a step in the world of Web3the next evolution of the internet that aims to decentralize data and give users more control over their online experience.

One of Microsoft’s main initiatives in this space is the development of a decentralized identity system (DID), which allows users to create and manage their own digital identities without relying on a centralized authority.
This system uses blockchain technology, which provides a secure and transparent way to store and manage data. With a DID system, users can control their personal information and choose how and when to share it with others.
In addition to the work on decentralized identity, Microsoft has also explored the potential of blockchain in other areas.
