After the The Real Housewives of New Jersey The star was apparently caught lying about the interaction between her and her sister-in-law after the season 12 reunion, Melissa explained her “point” before pointing to some others. RHONJ-related topics, including relationships with him Kathy Wakile and Rosie PieriTeresa’s engagement party claims, and Luis Ruelas‘ A “twisted” comment about what he said on his podcast.
“I’m not to blame. I mean it’s still the same,” Melissa confirmed WWHL: After the Show on February 21 after the host Andy Cohen mentioned the leaked message. “There was no interaction, okay, for three weeks, after I sent messages like, ‘Let’s call it peace, please, like, don’t be angry,’ whatever I said. There was zero until the reunion aired.
According to Melissa, Teresa only contacted her to suggest having lunch after experiencing backlash for her behavior at the reunion.
“I just knew it was self-inflicted and had nothing to do with me and him and I was just sick,” Melissa said. “I don’t want to hold him accountable anymore. I just want to say, ‘Listen, it’s okay. You don’t even need to do that. We don’t need lunch. Let’s be cordial. We’ll see each other. Let’s be friendly. Let’s go kids they’re friendly. But we don’t need lunch. You know you don’t want lunch. Just be real about it.’ That’s what I’m saying.’”
Meanwhile, in a live broadcast from WWHLMelissa admits that, looking back, she regrets cutting certain people, including Kathy and Rosie, out of her life to keep the peace with Teresa.
“Yeah… Joe always thinks about it. And I think he does it for him,” Melissa said. “He got out of prison, and he thinks that this is the next step, He wants to cheer him up, but you can see him in the scene, he is very uncomfortable. It’s just a family that has, and we love Kathy and Rosie, and I’m sad because we don’t have anymore.
During the latest episode of RHONJ, Joe expressed his frustration with Melissa’s family being left out of Teresa’s wedding guest list. And while Melissa admits her emotions run high, she knows how he feels.
“Sometimes I get mad at Joe because of his temper, but I know it’s coming from a place of pain. You can clearly see that he’s invested,” he said. “Sometimes I’m confused because Luis didn’t get here that long, so I’m confused about where he’s invested and I know where Joe’s coming from.”
Also, on the show, Melissa reacts to Teresa saying she should have sat at the table at the engagement party but chose to sit somewhere else.
“This is a blatant lie. And I prove it,” said Melissa.
As for Luis mentioning Melissa’s podcast, suggesting that she claimed that Teresa’s kids wouldn’t be eating if it weren’t for her and Joe, Melissa slammed the claim as “twisted.”
“That’s not what I meant,” he insisted.
While Melissa and Teresa have been feuding for months, with no end in sight, Melissa agrees with a comment Teresa made about her hope for a lasting friendship with her children.
“He will find another. me [hopeful] well,” Melissa shared.
