Hasan said he did not agree with “serial liar” Boris Johnson, who last week said he was “shocked and appalled” by the GOP being “feared” by Carlson.
“What’s wrong with this guy?” the former British prime minister asked in disbelief.
“Absolutely disagree with the sentiment from Boris,” Hasan told fellow MSNBC host Ayman Mohyeldin.
Hasan dismisses Carlson as “a bow-tie-wearing former frozen-food heiress who hosts the nightly white electric hour on Fox.”
But the GOP “lives in fear” of him, he said.
“Tucker Carlson now decides the GOP agenda on everything from aid to Ukraine to green M&Ms. He sets the tone, decides his official opponent every night, and you don’t dare criticize or cross him if you have an R next to your name,” he said. “This is crazy. It’s embarrassing, isn’t it?”
Mohyeldin agreed, calling it “beyond embarrassing” how much the GOP cowers for him, then as an example played a clip of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) groveling before Carlson.
“The party that was proud of communism and the USSR is now afraid of two privileged white men: Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson,” Mohyeldin said.
