Mehdi Hasan Reveals How He’d Call Out Donald Trump’s ‘Bulls**t’ To His Face

In a profile published by the Guardian on Thursday, the MSNBC anchor noted how the former president defeated his opponents “with nonsense, nonsense, lies repeatedly so quickly” that he did not “have the ability to stop and be real. – Check in real-time.

Trump is a “master” of the art of “Gish Galloping,” he said.

The tactic to defuse the explosion, Hasan said, was to “break it down” and not shake it – and call it that.

“Say: ‘We know what you’re doing,'” advised Hasan. “Let everyone know what’s going on. I always talk about breaking the fourth wall. It’s very clear that this is a nonsense strategy: you’re trying to overcome me with nonsense.

Hasan admitted that it is impossible to refute all 100 lies that Trump often tells reporters at a moment’s notice.

“So what you’re doing is picking one lie and taking it apart, and it’s a symbol for all the other 99 lies,” he said. “Because Trump wants you to be harassed by 100 because he knows he can’t defend the 100 individually.”

Elsewhere in a profile promoting his new book “Win Every Argument,” Hasan slammed Fox News as the “propaganda arm” of the GOP and explained why he believes President Joe Biden is “the most amazing president of my lifetime.”
