Megyn Kelly went off on an expletive-filled tirade this week as rumors about her role in the so-called “feud” between Erika Kirk and Candace Owens continue to swirl.
The former Fox News host took aim at her “myopically online” critics on Tuesday’s episode of her SiriusXM radio show, claiming they have “no fucking clue what’s going on” behind the scenes between her, Kirk and Owens.
“To the hateful people whom I used to call friends who have been all over the internet trying to shame me and say that no one should ever listen to this program again because I haven’t spoken out on the Erika/Candace conflict: I don’t have any pearls of wisdom other than go fuck yourselves,” she said.
She went on to note: “You fail to understand there are real humans involved here. Actually being able to touch grass and have relationships with them, which is something I’m doing, could prove to actually benefit all involved. Maybe it won’t at all, but it’s at least got a shot. I’m not sure your Twitter shame game has gotten anything of value done.”
Owens was previously employed by the right-wing student organization Turning Point USA, which was founded by Kirk’s late husband, Charlie Kirk.
In recent weeks, however, Owens has pushed conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk’s Sept. 10 assassination and questioned the motives of Erika Kirk, who has been on a media tour after being appointed CEO of Turning Point USA following her husband’s death.
This week, Erika Kirk and Owens announced plans for a face-to-face meeting, which took place Monday. According to Kelly, Erika Kirk initially reached out to her in hopes she’d facilitate the sit-down, which was to be filmed for a future broadcast.
Though Kelly said Owens was on board with that suggested setup, the group “hit some roadblocks” and the meeting between Erika Kirk and Owens ultimately took place off-camera and behind closed doors.
“My goal and my job here, I think, is to try to understand where Candace is coming from on this. I know you’re not supposed to say that,” Kelly explained. “You’re supposed to just immediately condemn her. But I love the Turning Point guys, and I don’t believe for one second any of them had anything to do with Charlie’s murder. Not for one second do I believe that.”
Though Erika Kirk wrote on X that her conversation with Owens was “very productive,” whether it will be enough to ease the tensions between the two women remains to be seen.
On Tuesday’s episode of her “Candace” podcast, Owens said she “did not recant” her suspicions during the meeting, and blasted the “fake and gay” evidence used by law enforcement to charge the 22-year-old suspect, Tyler Robinson, with Charlie Kirk’s murder.
