Meghan King appeared on Monday’s episode of Jeff Lewis‘ SiriusXM Radio show, where he revealed his son Hart, 4, had been kicked out of two different preschools.
A few months after her husband, Jim Edmondsdenied Hart had been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, admitting he actually had periventricular leukomalacia, a form of brain damage, the former The Real Housewives of Orange County castmate said Hart has been suffering from behavioral problems stemming from his cerebral palsy.
“My four-year-old son was kicked out of school!” Meghan announced on the March 27 episode of Jeff Lewis Lives. “He’s my son who has cerebral palsy and it’s been some behavioral issues and he got kicked out of a private preschool, so I went to a public preschool, and then he got kicked out of a public preschool.”
According to Meghan, Hart was able to attend half a day of the special edition but not the whole day, which was “quietly stressful”.
As for the possibility of getting help, Meghan said it is quite expensive.
“I do assistant work. Forty-four dollars an hour for an assistant, and that’s on top of private school tuition. Because then they have to be certified and have all those letters after their name. It’s a lot,” he admitted.
Also on the show, Meghan confirmed she was working with a deaf nanny, saying, “Oh my gosh. Yes.”
Back in 2020, on World Cerebral Palsy Day, the RHOC alum said Hart was “officially diagnosed with cerebral palsy.”
“As fate would have it, today is World Cerebral Palsy Day, so I thought I’d share my experiences and experiences with you all to help normalize this diagnosis,” Meghan wrote on Instagram at the time. “Something I like is that diagnosis is not limiting, people… We put other people in a box depending on the label and unconsciously allow ourselves to live in that box: women, college graduates, high school dropouts, professional athletes. , cerebral palsy .”

However, in his own statement, before calling out Meghan for blaming Hart’s condition, Jim said he knew nothing about the diagnosis.
