Meek Mill’s House Jubilee video is a disgrace to Ghana – Sammy Gyamfi

The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has described as a disgrace to Ghana, the music video of American Rapper, Meek Mill shot at Jubilee House, the seat of government.

The comments follow some concerns raised by some celebrities and politicians after Meek Mill released part of an explicit video on Instagram.

The American rapper and his crew were seen in a viral video rapping and dancing at Jubilee House.

But the angry NDC Communications Officer said the incident in the country has made it difficult for citizens to dare to call themselves Ghanaians.

“It’s despicable. How can we allow such dirty things to happen in the chair of the president of Ghana. It is very embarrassing for a person to reveal his/her citizenship as a Ghanaian, when it happens. Video shooting is not funny, how can we allow a musician in shorts to be president? The picture taken in front of the President’s podium is very sad. It’s sad to see some of these things,” Sammy Gyamfi fumed.

He asked, “Is the presidency no longer a security installation, a place where our ministers hold cabinet meetings? We allow rappers to use drones also in places called security zones”.

He said that the place of government should not be a playground, urging the government to avoid such incidents in future.

“We must stop being the laughing stock of the world. This is a serious matter and our leaders must ensure that we do not repeat ourselves. We must ensure that we protect the sanctity of the presidency,” said Sammy Gyamfi.

Meek Mill has since deleted the controversial video following the criticism.
