Get ready, girls (and boys)! Mary Cosby has officially made him return to Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
According to a new source, Maria has not been cast as a full-time housewife, but she will “film some scenes” in the recurring “friend of” role.
“Mary wants to come back,” an insider told Page Six.
Viewers last saw Mary in season two of ROSLC, where he had problems with racism and his church was called a “cult”. Some of the problems stem from Maryam’s racist tendencies, such as comparing her former co-stars. Jane Shah to “thugs” working with “Mexican drug cartels.” More importantly, he has broken up with his castmate Jenny Nguyen after past online posts surfaced from him mocking the Black Lives Matter movement, he was eventually fired.
Mary felt as though she was being attacked by the cast, and she ended the season two reunion and quit the show.
“Jennie’s racist post really pissed off Mary, especially after Jennie threw a glass at the camera,” the source said. “Mary is grateful for her time away from the cameras, but she looks ready to be back.”
Sources explain that Maria will re-enter the ROSLC participate as Meredith Sign‘ friend, as he was the only member still in contact with Mary.
“They’ve reconnected over the past year and have been talking and texting a lot more in the past few months,” the source explained.
Heather Gay recently said Mary “will not be part of the Salt Lake City mix,” and he confirmed that Mary and Meredith talk “quite a bit.” In addition, Whitney Rose recently revealed on her podcast that her “old face” is back in the picture.
The third season of the franchise ended Wednesday night with the second and final installment of the reunion, which left many cast friendships still broken.
Ahead of the fourth season, it was reported that a “cast shakeup” was on the horizon after the “dark season.” So, Mary’s return is a welcome surprise, as Meredith previously said the show needed “[new] men to Bridge the gap” between the “divided” women.
ROSLC OGs Meredith, Heather, Whitney, and Lisa Barlow have all been reported to continue to the full-time position. However, insiders say the fate of “a friend of” Angie Harrington, Dana Bui-Negreteand Angie Katsanevas still hanging in the air.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is currently scheduled to begin production on its fourth season on February 13.
