Self-published author Marianne Williamson couldn’t help but laugh at White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s expense on Monday.
So on Tuesday, he criticized Jean-Pierre on Twitter for”speak derisively and use derogatory terms about the president of the United States, and as a woman.
It all started when reporters asked the press secretary if President Joe Biden was “frustrated” that Williamson had announced his candidacy instead of giving a clear field for the Democratic presidential nomination.
In true spin-doctor fashion, Jean-Pierre tried to minimize what, if any, threat Wililamson could pose to Biden’s re-election by denying the premise of the question.
“We’re just not tracking that,” she said, before tweaking Williamson’s New Age sentiments. “If I have, what is it called? A little globe here, a crystal ball, then I can tell you, Magic 8 Ball, whatever. If I can feel her aura. I just don’t have anything to show.
Although reporters in the room laughed at Jean-Pierre’s shadow, Williamson did not find it funny based on a video posted Tuesday on social media.
Williamson claimed he was “deeply saddened” to see Jean-Pierre’s comments and claimed the reference to crystal balls and auras was baseless because he “ever said or written about” one of the topics.
Although the author said Biden is a “good man,” saying he felt Jean-Pierre’s outspokenness was a sign that the White House “has not shown commitment to high places.”
He also claimed that Jean-Pierre’s comments were meant to push him he “dropped out of the conversation.”
“It’s not just about me. They’re not just telling me to go, flick like a mosquito,” he said. “It’s about you. It’s about anyone who, first of all, I think, has faith and takes faith seriously — or is it just about women who say something wrong?”
Although Williamson told Yahoo! News in 2019 that her image as a “woo woo crystal lady” had nothing to do with reality, she suggested creating Department of Peace as he runs for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020.
In the 2020 primary, Williamson rarely polled more than 1%. They come out in January 2020.
Of course, Twitter users had their thoughts on Williamson’s video.
