Maria Bartiromo Is Still Pushing Unproven COVID-19 Treatments And We Can’t Even

Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo told Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Thursday that ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine are effective against COVID-19 — echoing a persistent falsehood at the height of the pandemic. (See the video below.)

But Bartiromo, during a segment on former White House expert Dr. Anthony Fauci, handling the outbreak, as if “in wartime,” one critic on Twitter wrote.

“There’s also all the lies about the emergency authorization,” Bartiromo said. “They need emergency authorization to get the vaccine down everyone’s throats, but to do this, they have to prove that there is no other market that can treat COVID. We all know ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine are effective, right?

Fox News and its business news channels have come under fire for promoting unproven vaccine and drug conspiracy theories, but Bartiromo doesn’t seem to be able to survive.

“Criminal gaslighting,” another Twitter user sniped.

Paul’s claim about the effectiveness of natural immunity after infection has been believed, but the shot is still preferable “given the risk of COVID,” especially for people who are not vaccinated, NBC News noted.

Here’s another tweet about Bartiromo’s comments.
