It is still unclear when the suspects will be arrested.
police investigation
Police in KwaZulu Natal (KZN) could not say much about the case when asked if they were confident they would make an arrest.
“There is no update yet,” KZN police spokesman Colonel Robert Netshiunda said The Warga in the written answer.
AKA and Tibz were shot and killed at close range on Friday night in Florida Road, Durban.
CCTV footage shared publicly shows AKA’s happy final moments hugging and shaking hands with a friend before looking over his shoulder in the street.
The award-winning rapper returned to the group before a man in a white sweater and hat ran up to him, firing a gun several times.
AKA fell to the ground as others ran away, while the shooter crossed the road and fled the scene on foot.
The footage also shows no robbery attempt and it appears that the attackers only thought their goal was to kill AKA.
