A man from Enola, Pennsylvania has been accused of killing his wife on Christmas Eve – and trying to make it look like she died.
According to court documents obtained by PennLive, Christopher Colbert39, arguing with his wife, Tamara Colbert, there, and it escalated out of control. According to police, she ran upstairs after her husband tried to attack her with a knife. The altercation continued in the bedroom, where Colbert allegedly shot Tamara in the head. He is also accused of strangling her, according to documents seen by people. He is also only 39 years old.

After the gruesome murder, Christopher reportedly called his father in Florida and claimed Tamara had shot herself. As PennLive It is reported that he seems to be in a state of irrationality and “does not complete sentences” – causing his father to worry. Poppa then called 911 to ask police for a welfare check — and when police showed up at the house, they found Christopher sitting in his car in the couple’s garage. They saw blood on his head, a gun nearby, and the smell of alcohol.
Surprisingly, Christopher has abandoned the charade. In the blood-stained letter found on the front, it was revealed that he had killed Tamara and planned to die by dying as well. according to PennLiveThe letter states:
“There is no one I love more than Tamara. He was my world and I broke it. I’m so sorry, know I didn’t kill him. He and I were fighting. We are not doing well.
Addressing the fact that they were both dead by the time the police arrived, he allegedly wrote:
“We both have a tendency to get angry when things don’t go well. It’s rude to write all this, because we’re dead, and I’ll be seen as the cause.
wow So, it’s very tragic.

Christopher has been charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, strangulation, and tampering with physical evidence. He has been denied bail, per court records. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 12, and it is unclear at this time whether he has issued a plea or retained an attorney.
