No bail application
His lawyer appeared in court via video link, but gave no indication of how his client would plead and did not make a bail application.
Abbkr is alleged to have sprayed the substance on two people outside or near the mosque he attended and then went down, in west London on February 27 and Birmingham on Monday.
The victim of the attack in the British capital, Hashi Odowa, 82, was treated for severe burns to his face and arm.
The perpetrator spoke to her before dousing her in what is believed to be gasoline and setting her on fire, according to police.
