A mega tiff among two top MAGA figures took a weird turn Wednesday when a discussion about a Charlie Kirk conspiracy theory devolved into comments about having sex with animals.
It started when conservative conspiracy theorist Dinesh D’Souza decided to comment on a conspiracy theory being floated by fellow conservative conspiracy theorist Candace Owens over Kirk’s assassination last month.
On Monday, Owens shared with her viewers what she claimed was a group chat between Kirk and other individuals that supposedly happened two days before his death.
In the chat, Kirk appears bugged that his Turning Point USA organization has “lost another huge Jewish donor,” and potentially “$2 million a year” because he invited Tucker Carlson, a recent critic of the U.S.-Israel relationship, to attend a Turning Point USA event.
Although Charlie Kirk Show producer Andrew Kolvet said the group chat was authentic, RawStory noted that Owens interpreted the conversation as a sign that Kirk planned to “leave the pro-Israel cause.”
Owens also implied, without evidence, that Israel might have been involved with Kirk’s killing, an accusation that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called “insane,” according to the Guardian.
Her bizarre Kirk conspiracy theory has also been criticized by other MAGA types, including D’Souza, who is most famous among the mainstream as the man behind the widely debunked election conspiracy documentary “200 Mules.”
D’Souza took to X on Wednesday and made a comment that seemed to compare Owens’ unproven theory with having sex with animals:
I can’t comment on Candace because it’s quite obviously a freak show. It’s like driving on the highway and seeing a farmer having sex with a sheep.
You don’t want to look, but you can’t look away either.
The problems begin when you try to analyze it. It is what it is.
Owens, who is currently being sued by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, over false claims that Brigitte Macron was born a man, didn’t like D’Souza’s analogy one single bit.
“Who openly admits that they wouldn’t look away if they watched a person having sex with a farm animal?” she asked rhetorically. ”Why is everyone in politics so sexually perverse?”
D’Souza responded by explaining, “I am being humorous, or at least attempting to be.”
Owens’ response was basically a mix of snide, dripping in snark with just a touch of condescension to make it fancy:
Humor is typically landed upon with relatability. I don’t know what’s on your laptop but most people cannot relate to feeling fascinated by farmers having sex with their sheep.
