Ryan Edwards has been in the news a lot lately.
Usually, that’s a bad thing, but this time, it’s just the title normally negative, rather than entirely negative.
last month, Teenage Moms: Family Reunion Coach B’s therapist actually praised Ryan and revealed that he had tried to be a better father to his eldest son, Bentley.
It was extremely favorable publicity for Edwards – and then came the inevitable scandal.

Just days after his Coach B endorsement, Ryan took to Instagram to accuse his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, of cheating on him.
He later retracted the allegations, but the incident was a clear sign that all was not well in the Edwards household.
But if anyone knows that Ryan is a bad parent/spouse, then yes everyone who watches Teen Mom OG Maci Bookout.

When Ryan was fired from MTV last year, Maci was still seen on the network, and during a recent scene in Teenage Moms: Family Reunionshe shared her thoughts on her strained relationship with her baby daddy.
“I don’t have a relationship with Ryan now. We never co-parented. Co-parenting is over with Jenn and Larry’s parents,” she told co-star Cheyenne Floyd.
“When I was co-parenting with Jenn and Larry and we were all dealing with all of Ryan’s bullshit, I was in a place of turmoil because I was like, is it healthy for him to go there?” Maci asked, referring to her young son, Bentley.

Maci further explores these feelings during a workout where Coach B instructs the women to run while wearing weight vests – every weight is a source of stress in life.
Unsurprisingly, Maci’s weight gain is representative of the drama she continues to endure as a result of Ryan.
“My relationship with Jenn and Larry blew up. I kept trying not to think about it,” he said.

“Hopefully we’ll get to a better place that’s original but who knows?”
In the previous episode, the women were told to write their grievances on an ax and symbolically bury them in the dirt.
Maci says that her anger is mostly directed at Ryan, but not because she harbors any ill will about the past.

Instead, he was angry on behalf of his son, and angry with himself for allowing Bentley to be mistreated.
“I feel that because of my choices in relationships, it just hurts everyone. Everyone who loves me is hurt because of it,” said Maci.
Needless to say, Maci is almost as big on self-blame as Coach B is on heavy-handed symbolism.

But the good news is, the scene was filmed before Coach B worked with Ryan and gave him his endorsement.
So maybe he has turned over a new leaf permanently.
We doubt it, but anything is possible!
