LSU’s Angel Reese Slams Jill Biden’s Plan To Invite Iowa To White House

“JOKE,” tweeted Reese, who was named the Final Four’s most outstanding player after leading LSU to a 102-85 victory over Iowa in the women’s basketball final. (She also caused a stir by mimicking Iowa star Caitlin Clark’s “you can’t see me” gesture when the game ended.)

The first lady watched the game from the stands in Dallas and was apparently so shocked by what she saw that she pushed her husband, President Joe Biden, to come to Iowa as well.

“I know that the champion will come to the White House, of course. So, we hope that LSU will come. But, you know, I will tell Joe that I should also come to Iowa, because they played a good game,” said Jill Biden .

Many shared Reese’s disappointment with the first lady’s clumsy attempts at goodwill.

“No ma’am!” former Clinton White House aide Keith Boykin wrote. “When a black woman wins a national championship, she shouldn’t be forced to share the stage with a losing team.”

“White is helluva medicine!” BET host and former HuffPost Live host Marc Lamont Hill wrote.

Reese also received support from ESPN star Stephen A. Smith.
