‘Love & Hip Hop SA’ to honour Supa Mega



The impact that rapper AKA has had on the South African Hip Hop landscape is undeniable and no one knows that better than his friends, Chief Yanga and Da LES As members of the recently launched cast. Love & Hip Hop SAThe pair let the cameras down as they not only attended a public memorial service but performed some of AKA’s hit songs on display.

“Sadly, one of the best Hip Hop stars in the country, the tragic death of AKA has left us Love & Hip Hop SA It’s confusing because of his sudden death,” the producer said in a new statement.

Known as Supa Mega by his adoring fans, Kiernan Forbes is close friends with Da LES and Chief Yanga.

They both released many hit songs with AKA over the years.

“In the third episode of South African Love and Hip Hop we saw the cast of the show move past the devastating news of AKA’s passing as they paid tribute to their industry mates.

According to the producer, the players also spoke about the fear that South Africa has about crime statistics and the tragic loss of senseless killings in the country.

“I’m sitting here and I’m thinking, do we even have enough money to protect ourselves, and further – who am I protecting myself from,” commented Gigi Lamayne.

Private memorial

In addition to the public commemoration held at the Sandton Convention Centre, Da LES held an intimate commemoration with others. Love & Hip Hop SA The cast where AKA’s father Tony Forbes joined him to honor how AKA has influenced his career.

The episode also tells how Mr. Forbes has come to know about the loss of his son and the last time he spent with him before his burial.

The third episode of Love & Hip Hop SA will be broadcast on MTV DStv Channel 130 on Friday, March 13, at 9.30pm CAT.
