As Loren & Alexei: After 90 Days viewers have seen, the parents of Loren Brovarnik who did not take it either.
It is more understandable that grandparents are worried about their children and grandparents who have spent many years in another country.
What is not normal or acceptable is the level of Loren’s mother’s protest. This time, he crossed the line.
Loren’s mother threatened to hit him – all but admitting that, if the producers weren’t watching, he might have. Watch the trailer below!
Marlene and Bryan have been against the idea of Loren and Alexei moving to Israel from the beginning.
The Brovarniks had discussed living there for a few years while raising their children, and then returning to the US.
On the one hand, they don’t talk about staying long enough for Shai to be pressed into the IDF or sent to prison for refusing. On the other hand, it is a long time – for small children or for grandparents.
But Marlene and Bryan’s argument grew more and more fierce.

As you can see in the video below, Marlene threatens her pregnant daughter with physical violence during a heated argument.
The context of this dispute is that Loren is having a conversation with his parents. This happened after a bad discussion with Alexei’s family.
Bryan looked awkward and silent during this exchange. Marlene spoke loudly to both of them.
Both women accused the other of disrespect. Honestly, both could be true – but only one crosses the line.
Loren accused his mother of being special to Alexei and to his relatives.
He was also worried that his mother clearly looked down on him as a person.
According to her, Marlene had told people that Loren really couldn’t move to Israel with the young children.
Marlene hotly denied the characterization of the word.
It seems that Loren also felt that Marlene insulted Alexei’s parents and his homeland when she discussed things with him.
After a while, Marlene’s anger was clear, and she asked Loren to just “shut up.”
He immediately got in Loren’s face and threatened to punch her.
“If I didn’t have a room full of people, I’d probably slap you in the face for being disrespectful. You mother,” Marlene scoffed.
He then spat: “You know what? You don’t talk like that to other people.”
Marlene did not even stop there, but doubled down on what she believed that Loren would struggle after moving.
She said that Loren was complaining about how Alexei would leave her with the kids while he went alone to fish or something.
No one really addresses the threat of violence. Empty words or not, they are not acceptable.
“Okay, mom, OK, you’re the perfect king,” Loren said, still thinking about her mother’s worries. At this point, it makes more sense.
He then said to his father, “Talk about hypocrites.”
And he quips: “Enjoy the trip. That’s in-f–king-sane.”
