Logan Paul backflips on defamation lawsuit against Coffeezilla, apologizes

YouTuber Logan Paul has removed a video in which he threatened to sue internet detective Stephen “Coffeezilla” Findeisen over a three-part series painting Paul’s CryptoZoo project as a “scam.”

According to Coffezilla in a Twitter post on January 6, Paul has promised to drop his threat to file a lawsuit over the video.

Sharing a screenshot from the CryptoZoo Discord server, Findeisen also shared a message from Paul to a user confirming that he had deleted his initial response to the Coffeezilla video series and apologizing, which read:

“It was too much and it was wrong with the trust issue, so I called him today and apologized.”

“War is not with Coffee. In fact, I am grateful that he explained this. I will take responsibility, apologize, and make plans in the future,” added Paul.

At the time of writing, the January 3 video of Paul’s response to Coffeezilla’s allegations has been removed from YouTube. Twitter said post pointed out that the video is still up as early as December 23 post calling the accusation “Untrue.”

The two YouTubers started a war of words after Coffeezilla released the first of a three-part video series on December 17 that exposed CryptoZoo from numerous business malpractices while also calling out Paul – the face of the project.

In the now-deleted answer video to Coffeezilla, Paul accused Coffeezilla of defamation, adding “I’ll see you in court.”

Coffeezilla mentions in his post that Paul may have “made a 3rd response,” but at the time of writing, neither Paul nor Coffeezilla have provided further details on the matter.

Cointelegraph reached out to Logan Paul and Stephen “Coffeezilla” Findeisen for comment but did not receive a response prior to publication.
