Lisa Vanderpump Slams Teddi Mellencamp’s ‘Pump Rules’ Claims

“Oh and no, I don’t pay cast members to sleep together for ratings #pumprules they do it on their own… #fake-news,” the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 62, tweeted on Wednesday, March 15. “Have a nice day everyone.”

Said Vanderdump after his ex RHOBA costar Teddy Mellencamp the theory that the native UK has also been orchestrated Pump Rules drama to increase ratings.

“[Lisa] probably paying Raquel [Leviss] to do this,” Mellencamp, 41, suggested to Melissa Gorga and Judge Tamra during the March 9 episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey podcast “On Display” star.

Former housewives have their own history. The two started off as friends, but had a falling out during season 9 of the Bravo series, which aired in 2019. Their friendship hit a snag when Dorit Kemsley adopted a puppy from Vanderpump Dogs, only for the pooch to end up at a kill shelter. The drama, also known as Puppygate, led Vanderpump to leave the show. Mellencamp, for his part, exited the series in September 2020.

Vanderpump found more success with her Bravo spinoff series, Pump Ruleswhich premiered in 2013. The reality show follows the lives of workers in a Los Angeles-based restaurant.

Throughout the ten seasons, the reality stars had their share of drama and hookups. The cast recently made headlines when Sandoval, 41, and his longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix broke up after nine years of dating. Us Weekly confirmed earlier this month that the couple split after the native of Florida, 37, learned that his girlfriend had a relationship with Leviss, 28. The drama, also known as Scandoval, caused some tension between the current cast and will play out during the 10th season.

The restaurateur, who has a mentor relationship with Sandoval, was shocked when the news spread and sent Madix support during his March 8 appearance at Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

“I had no words. I didn’t see it coming — nobody did,” he admitted to Cohen. “I’ve seen Ariana and I [filmed] with him. It is an integral part of the current story. I will tell you the words to use [to describe her] it’s broken.”

Meanwhile, Vanderpump doesn’t seem to have any empathy for Leviss after the scandal. When in WWHL The Bravo personality called the former beauty queen a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.”
