Just moments ago, the actress and reality star announced her exit from Bravo’s top-rated show after reports claimed she was on the chopping block.
“This is the longest project I’ve held in my 35-year career and I’m grateful to everyone at Bravo and everyone involved with the series,” Rinna shared in a statement to PEOPLE. “It’s been an exciting eight years and I’m excited for what’s to come!”
According to the outlet, the decision for Rinna, 59, to leave the RHOBA was made after his contract expired after season 12.
And after looking at all her options, plus business obligations including her acting career, the controversial star and the Bravo network have reportedly mutually agreed that she will leave the ‘Real Housewives’ series.
This somewhat shocking news comes after months of rumors and rumors about Rinna’s future on the show.
After a very dramatic season 12, that’s when Rinna arrived Kathy Hilton and exposed to Kathy’s alleged off-camera meltdown during the cast trip in Aspen, Rinna, who is no stranger to controversy, received a ton of backlash from fans who felt she had once again crossed the line when it came to attacking a costar.
In fact, during the latest RHOBA Reunion, Kathy didn’t hold back as she accused Rinna of being “the biggest bully in Hollywood” as well as repeatedly attacking and running away from the show’s other stars – including Lisa Vanderpump, Camille Grammer, Kim Richardsand Denise Richards.
Rinna also joined Bravo host and producer, Andy Cohenas he even challenged Andy by asking him to “take a break”.

It is also unknown if Rinna’s departure has anything to do with Kathy issuing an ultimatum after last season about not wanting to return unless Rinna and Erika Jayne were taken from the cast. Although, Kathy appears to change her tune in the ultimatum just a week later.
Rinna has also faced a lot of backlash from RHOBA His fans even led to him being booed at Bravocon last October. Not long after, Rinna broke up with her reporter.
Production on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 is expected to begin in early 2023.
