according to TMZ on Sunday, a family source revealed that the 54-year-old singer-songwriter was feeling “stressed” by having to appear in public, especially at the event. Golden Globes, the day before he died. During the coronavirus pandemic, Lisa Marie reportedly became more comfortable because she could leave the house with a mask and no one would recognize her on the street, including the paparazzi.
However, his world came crashing down when his son Benjamin Keough died by suicide during the pandemic in July 2020. TMZ claimed the musician was understandably sad and rarely left his home in 2021 and 2022 after his death because he “didn’t want to be seen by others.” But with success Baz Luhrmannthe movie Elvis, he realized it was three months before he had to go to public events again. According to the outlet, his thoughts on the show “freaked” and “pressured” him out, and just continued to build. So, it’s very sad.

During this time, we previously reported that the singer – who has battled addiction for years – relapsed on opioids and began taking weight loss medication to try and look his best to celebrate his film at the Globes. He supposedly lost 40 to 50 pounds in the six weeks leading up to the awards show. But beyond her looks, the TMZ The source claimed stress from the Globes was part of the reason she started to take opioids. As a family insider put it bluntly:
“If it wasn’t for the Golden Globes, Lisa might still be alive today.”
Wow… This is just heartbreaking. Lisa looked shaky on the red carpet the night of the event. Extra host Billy Bushwho conducted one of the last interviews with the artist, noting that he was “uneven in his balance,” adding:
“He spoke very slowly. And, sure enough, when the interview was over, I turned to the producer next to me and said, ‘Something’s missing.’ “
Then, two days later, he sadly suffered a heart attack and died in hospital. At Los Angeles Coroner’s Office have not released the official cause of death for Lisa Marie, as they are awaiting a toxicology report at this time.
