“How can President Trump avoid prosecution in New York?” Graham tweeted on Friday, with a “thinking face” emoji.
He then answered his own question: “On the way to the DA’s office on Tuesday, Trump must have smashed some windows, rob some shops and punch the police. He will be released immediately!”
This may have been intended as a joke suggesting that criminals can get away with anything in liberal and lenient New York. Or maybe Graham is actually suggesting that the former president physically attack the police — you know, like some of his supporters have done.
The senator’s tweet left many Twitter users shocked, but not surprised.
