If you hope to see it Lindsay Lohan and Plastics og return for a musical remake of Girl Meanss, well, we have potentially some bad news for you!
According to a recent report from Page Six Wednesday, the 36-year-old actress, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfriedand Lacey Chabertwho all starred in the 2004 film, all came on board to appear in the film adaptation of Broadway musical version of It means Girls come to Paramount+. However, it looks like those plans have stalled – and you can probably guess why. All because of money.
The outlet said “negotiations are at a standstill” now after the streamer offered the four women “obscene” salaries for returning to the film. A production insider claimed:
“Paramount Pictures doesn’t want to pay the girls what they’re worth. All four girls are willing to come back, but Paramount doesn’t appreciate what they’re worth.

In the words of Gretchen Wieners (like), who does not take! Considering these stars helped make the original film as good as it is, you’d think Paramount would pay better!
The insider also claimed that Rachel, who portrays Regina George, was offered a bigger part in the musical than Lindsay, Amanda, and Lacey. However, the deal was not finalized. Until now, Tina Fey – who wrote films and music – reprising her role as maths teacher Ms Norbury. Tim Meadows also came back as Principal Duvall. He told me Seth Meyers last week:
“I want to give you credit, you and Tim have a part in the original movie that you can’t get old. The teacher always works.”
For him to return, Page Six reported that the comedian was given a seven-figure deal while Lindsay, Amanda, Rachel, and Lacey were offered “a fraction” of their salary. Oof.
When Tina and Tim reprise their part, that will not be small for four. However, it has been announced that Rene Rap – who starred in the Broadway show – will return to portray Regina George. Meanwhile, Grape Rice, Bebe Woodand Avantika starring Cady Heron, Gretchen Weiners, and Karen Smith. It is not known what parts the four will play if they take the job. But whatever the role, another insider confirmed:
“Whether he appears in a cameo appearance or has six pages of script, it doesn’t matter – [the money offered] it’s rude.”
Tina previously revealed that production on the film will begin on March 6th — that Lindsay, Rachel, Amanda, and Lacey will be on set today! UGH. Hopefully Paramount and the actresses can work out a deal because it would be amazing to see these four ladies together again!
