
Residents in parts of Limpopo have been warned to be aware of road and residential flooding as heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in the province.
A level 5 orange warning for disruptive rain has been issued in north-east Limpopo on Tuesday.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has also issued a yellow level 2 warning for disruptive rain in the Lowveld and along the Limpopo escarpment.
Those in the northern and central parts of the Northern Cape should expect very high fire danger conditions.
Heatwave conditions, with temperatures consistently above the average maximum, are expected in Dawid Kruiper and Kai !Garib local municipalities of the Northern Cape until Wednesday.
“In these conditions, prolonged exposure to the sun poses a health risk; therefore, it is better to seek shade and stay hydrated,” the weather service said.

Gauteng: The weather will be partly cloudy and warm with afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the south. Desired UVB sunburn index: Very high.
east: Cloudy in the east, but partly cloudy and warm with rain and thunder in the east and southwest. It will be cool with the morning fog along the escarpment.
Limpopo: Cloudy in the east where it will be cool in places, used to be partly cloudy and warm with isolated rain and thundershows, except through the central part, but scattered in the east and northeast.

Northwest: Partly cloudy and warm to hot, with afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
Free State: Partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thunderstorms except in the west.
Northern Cape: Fine and warm to hot but very hot to very hot in the north, becoming partly cloudy in the north-east with showers and thunderstorms from the afternoon. Winds along the coast will be moderate to fresh from the south.
Western Cape: Cloudy and cool along the south coast with morning fog and light rain in the afternoon, otherwise cloudy and warm to hot, but fine in the north.
Winds along the coast will be moderate to fresh from the south to southeast becoming stronger on the west and southwest coasts from the afternoon. Expected UVB sunburn index: Extreme.
Western Half of the Eastern Cape: Morning and evening fog in some places, if not cloudy
and warm with isolated afternoon storms in the northeast, but cloudy with light rain along the coast. Winds along the coast will be light to moderate from the southeast.

Eastern Half of the Eastern Cape: Morning fog in places, if not cloudy and warm with rain and thunder, but scattered in the east. In the afternoon it will be cloudy on the south side of the escarpment. The wind along the coast will be moderate from the southeast.
KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated rain and thundershows but scattered in the west. Winds on the coast will be moderate to fresh from the east to the northeast. Desirable UVB sunburn index: High.
