According to him, he and the newlyweds have decided to ignore false publications and unwarranted attacks and just focus on enjoying a beautiful marriage but some people advise to clear the air.
“My recent marriage with Sakina caused tension and baseless accusations that I married an underage girl.
“Someone suggested she was 11 years old and she was forced to marry me.
“We decided to remain silent but we are encouraged to state the facts,” he stated.
The globally recognized age of marriage is 18 years and above, but child marriage still occurs in certain parts of the world, especially in Africa.
