“James and I when we were very new in our relationship were definitely hooked,” the 32-year-old beauty mogul said. Katie Maloney. “We went to Chicago [in 2016] and we started drinking before we got on the plane. So he told me to do a handstand because I always do a handstand.”
Lala and James, 31, previously sparked romance rumors when she joined the cast in season 4. After first flirting onscreen, the duo played coy about the extent of their connection when the cameras weren’t rolling.
The Utah native was later linked to Randall Emmett when a professional DJ moved with it Rachel Lewis. James and Raquel, 28, who started dating in season 5, were together for five years before calling off their engagement in December 2021.
“After 5 wonderful years, we decided to have two different goals and decided to call off the engagement,” they wrote in a joint statement at the time. “We love so much, but we don’t love anymore. We want nothing but the best for each other, so keep your thoughts positive. Sending Love.”
A month later, the couple discussed what caused their relationship.
“I don’t want to give up on him because he’s really shown how much he’s dedicated to me, and what he wants to do to make himself better,” she said during the season 9 reunion special. “But I feel like I’m inside. I’ve been dreaming It was terrible about our wedding day, and I thought it was a sign that something was wrong.
Lala, however, remained silent about her relationship with the director, 51, until it went public in 2018. The former couple got engaged that year and welcomed their daughter, Ocean, in 2021.
Amidst cheating rumors, Us Weekly confirmed that Lala and Randall have called it quits. The shocking events surrounding the breakup were also a major topic of conversation when the cast of Vanderpump Rules filmed season 10.
Tom Sandoval called out Lala’s reaction to Randall’s alleged cheating in Wednesday’s episode, saying, “She and Randall – when they first met – she was like, ‘I’m going to suck you for the f-king Range Rover.’ Maybe he should have known that a king is not beaten by a king like that.
