Lala Kentrung admitted on the night of the premiere of Vanderpump Rules he and James Kennedy hooked up early in the relationship with Randall Emmett and Rachel Lewisrespectively.
Although both have moved on from the relationship, Lala having ended her engagement to Randall in October 2021 and James and Raquel calling off their engagement a few weeks later, the news of their past relationship is not good news for James. current girlfriend, Ally Lewberwho was “surprised” by James who was unfaithful.
“I was mad at him for a while, sure, yeah,” Ally told Page Six at the premiere party. “I felt so bad for Raquel at that moment – just knowing [they] is about to get married, and he won’t know this.”
“That’s not fun to find out about a couple,” he continued.
According to Ally, who started dating James in early 2022, just a few weeks after James and Raquel broke up, she and her boyfriend “had a talk” after he told her that Lala had been mentioned on camera. And, according to James, he doesn’t resent his teammates for doing so.
Although he insists that he is not “proud” of his infidelity and insists his behavior does not indicate “someone who [he] today, “James says he doesn’t have time to be angry with Lala because “it happened six years ago.
“We’ve been working on a friendship ever since,” he said.
At Pump Rules premiere episode, Lala told Katie Maloney“James and I, when we were both very new in our relationship, definitely hooked up,” and noted that he met drunk that took place in Chicago.
“You make me nervous. My heart was pounding. Like, please don’t. Don’t,” James begged in response, before confirming the hookup.
Meanwhile, during another scene in the show, Raquel tells Scheana Shay she hopes Ally “doesn’t suffer from low self-esteem” like she did throughout her years-long relationship with James.
“I mean, some of the stuff that I’ve had — I look back, and I’m like, ‘What was I thinking?'” he shared.
As for her decision to reveal her past hookup with James, Lala said that going into season 10, she doesn’t want to carry any secrets.
“This season, when I entered, I felt like I was sitting on a pile of sh-t. And I just want all my bones to come out. I want to start making reparations for the people who have been affected,” explained Lala, adding that she and Raquel went through “a lot tide” during season 10.
“And maybe I shouldn’t tell you [Raquel about the hookup] because he was angry, hindsight is 20/20,” continued Lala. “I feel like I’m doing what I need to do for both of us because we’re in a good place, and I want to move forward with him. I just can’t move forward with him knowing that I’ve become someone I can’t be proud of.
Understandably, Lala says that she and Raquel are “not on good terms” right now.
“That’s OK, though,” he noted. “That’s to be expected with this group.”
