With only a few days to the 2023 presidential election and as political parties are gearing up for their campaigns, the Member Contact & Mobilization of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Hon Obidike Chukwuebuka has worried that lack of funds will hamper the party’s chances in the south east.
Obidike said this in a private meeting with some Igbo businessmen in Lagos after the APC grand finale of the presidential campaign. While at the dinner chatting with business moguls, he highlighted the lack of funds to match up with the Labor Party and the PDP which has been held. sway in the area over several months now.
Obidike admitted that there is still a lot of work for the APC to do in the South East before the polls to get more votes. He blamed some leaders of the party from the South-East for the lack of party patriotism, but said the party would stand well in the region citing the unique personality of the presidential candidate and President Buhari’s signature project in the zone.
Chief Obidike encouraged the Ndi Igbo in Lagos to support and support Bola Tinubu whom he described as the greatest benefactor.
