Although there is a big difference in the lead polls from the two surveys out this afternoon, the message is the same – the Tories have a mountain to climb if they want to get within striking distance of the LAB in the general election.
It is still great that Sunak is on the other side of the time and he has a decision on what the date of the election will be.
Given the state of the polls for the Tories, it is unlikely that there will be a general election before next year.
In my opinion, this is like 1997 when the tide turned and the public wanted to see something different. The big challenge facing the Tories is that unlike some of the previous fights they face a Labor leader who may be boring will not be easily broken. He is not Jeremy Corbyn.
