And Starmer has a 10% net approval lead
There is a new poll from R&W of the forty ‘Red Wall’ seats. All but one of them went Tory in GE2019 with the only one, Hartlepool, winning the 2020 election.
What’s interesting here is that Reform UK, formerly known as the Brexit Party, came third in the seat in GE2019 with 6.5% of the vote, so there was almost no change in this survey.
When approved by the leadership, in that seat Sunak earned a net minus 18%, while Starmer earned an increase of 8%. Starmer also has a 10% lead in the “Best PM” rating.
This all looks a little bleak for the Tories as the seat is critical to Johnson’s 2019 General Election Victory.
