Kyle Richards shared why she almost passed on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, and revealed which franchise shocked her the most. Meanwhile, Kyle’s estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, was seen kissing an unidentified woman in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Earlier this year, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star filmed the new season of RHUGT with Lisa Barlow, Porsha Williams, Gizelle Bryant, Vicki Gunvalson, Luann de Lesseps, and Teresa Giudice as they went on a road trip to various cities within the franchise. Many costars, past and present, joined them at certain locations to celebrate the franchise’s 20th anniversary.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Kyle addressed her hesitation to join RHUGT.
“It was not an immediate yes,” said Kyle. “I said, ‘Can you give me like two days?’ because I was exhausted from shooting Beverly Hills. You know what it’s like shooting two [shows] back-to-back, like Vicki just did.”
“But how could we not want to celebrate [20 years]?” she said of her eventual decision to say yes. “When we started this, people were like, ‘Is reality television even going to be around for long?’ And look at this. That’s something to really celebrate.”
Later on, Kyle revealed she was shocked to witness some of the other franchises on RHUGT.
“I was so happy and love all these women so much [on the main cast of RHUGT],” she said. “But then – obviously on Beverly Hills we fight, we have problems – [but on RHUGT] I’m like, ‘Wow, this is kind of making me appreciate Beverly Hills. I cannot believe what I’m seeing right now!’”
Gizelle, who was also in the interview, specifically called out Real Housewives of Orange County, while Kyle herself pointed a finger at Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
“It was crazy,” said Kyle.
“It was crazy,” Porsha agreed. “Because when we were in each city, you would assume, ‘Okay, well, the Atlanta girls are going to act up,’ or the Miami girls. It would be the other cities that were visiting us that showed out.”
“If it involved any of us [on the main cast of RHUGT], I don’t know if it’s because we’re on the girls’ trip together, but I was very protective of us,” Porsha continued. “Like I rode for Lisa. I’m like, ‘Listen, look, I don’t care what you say she did to you. She’s our friend, and we love her.’ … We rode like a little gang.”
According to Lisa, someone in her cast went after her over the things they had already discussed at the reunion.
Around the same time, in a video obtained by TMZ, Kyle’s estranged husband Mauricio was spotted kissing an unidentified woman on a floating dock in Monte Carlo.
