Kyle Richards defended Gwen Stefani in the comment section of the Instagram post after seeing the singer No doubt and sometimes the coach from Voice has caught backlash for telling Allure magazine that she is “Japanese.”
After Gwen, 53, who was born to Italian American and Irish American parents, confirmed she was Asian after her 2004 Harajuku Lovers collection was described as cultural appropriation, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members reacted to many who were “offended” by the statement.
“Everyone can’t wait to be offended,” Kyle wrote, via Page Six, in an Instagram comment on Wednesday after Gwen told Allure, “I’m Japanese and I don’t understand.”
During the interview, Gwen described herself as an “Orange County girl, a Japanese girl, an English girl” before her rep tried to defend her, first telling the publication’s reporter. misunderstood and later refused to say anything on the record.
As RHOBA fans will remember, Kyle learned an important lesson about racist undertones and stereotypes from his castmate Garcelle Beauvais in the middle of the 11th season after he was accused of the series’ only full-time member of the Black cast of failing to make a pledged $5,000 donation to his charity.

“I’m so happy that people like the show, because I’m scared.
