Tragic news from Hollywood today:
Kyle Jacobs – the husband of former American Idol standout Kellie Picker – was found dead after an apparent suicide at the couple’s Tennessee home on February 17, the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed in a statement.
He is 49 years old.

According to official reports, officers were called to Pickler’s home around 1:21 p.m. after she woke up and couldn’t find her husband.
Pickler and his personal assistant were then unable to open the door to the upstairs bedroom/office while he called 911.
Police and the Nashville Fire Department arrived at the scene and found the songwriter “deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” the statement said, adding:
“Her death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.”

A singer/songwriter herself, Jacobs shared a celebratory Instagram post the day before her death about the success of Lee Brice’s fifth studio album.
“Platinum?! SWEEEET!!! An amazing crew of talented people made this one” wrote Jacobs as the caption of this post, as you can see below.
During his career, Jacobs won a CMA Award, an ACM Award and was nominated for a Grammy Award.
She and Pickler began dating in 2008, became engaged in June 2010 and then married on New Year’s Day 2011.

“It was the most spiritual moment.” Pickler, a former finalist on American Idol, previously spoke of the proposal.
“We’ll get married tonight when the sermon passes!”
The day after requesting the exchange of vows, Pickler tweeted:
“Private Island. Caribbean. Cigar in one hand, Rum in the other. Someone called me “Ms. Jacobs.” “…good times :)”

The couple, who have no children, starred in three seasons of the CMT reality show, I Love Kellie Pickler, from 2015 to 2017.
The program chronicled the marriage of Pickler and Jacobs as they juggled their personal and professional lives.
“We just do everything we can to just be real,” Jacobs told Yahoo’s BUILD series in 2017. “We love to laugh our whole life. We love to do it, and this is our show. Our show is love and laughter.
Jacobs – who has written songs for Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw – added at the time:
“There is stress in life…and I think you are [and] especially with your significant other to laugh and laugh with, then you are in a good place.
We send our condolences to the friends, family members and loved ones of Kyle Jacobs. May he rest in peace.
