“The management of KBTH refused to pay attention to the content of the letter dated December 13, 2022 from the Korle Bu Doctors Association (KODA) not to make a unilateral payment of 25% of the arrears unless there is a clear timeline for the payment of the rest. The arrears have been agreed
“The management of KBTH refused to meet its own deadline to ‘come back with a timeline for the settlement of arrears on January 27, 2023’ as stated in a letter to KODA dated January 3, 2023,” Doctors said in a statement.
The statement goes on to warn that management has failed to address the issue, the doctors “will cancel services to the Out-patient department as well as surgeries and elective procedures. This will start from February 6 to February 10, 2023.
“If no one hears, from February 13, the state of emergency will be denied until all inpatients are discharged,” cautioned statement.
The doctor advised the hospital management to proactively address the issue to avoid further attacks.
