As reported on Wednesday, the 74-year-old monarch evicted the couple from the five-bedroom home they had been given – leaving them without a home to call their own in England. We know this shortly after the release of Harry’s bombshell book spare – but “soon after” seems like an understatement! Apparently, King Charles wasted no time in serving Meghan and Harry an eviction notice and handing the house keys to the unscrupulous. Prince Andrew. according to Page Six, the process began the day after the Duke of Sussex released his book on January 10! Yes, we are talking about 24 hours after the release they decided to fire him!

Obviously, the royal family was not happy with what Harry had to say in the memoir, where he opened up about his difficult relationship with his family, including his father and sister. Prince William. But to evict him from Frogmore just one day after his release? This is a brutal move! Clearly, King Charles is over the drama and wants to make a clear statement that he is no longer welcome since Harry decided to continue airing his dirty laundry.
Despite the shocking move, it seems they have decided to give Meghan and Harry time to vacate the space. Insiders told royal experts and journalists Omid Scobie while he only had “weeks” to get things from Frogmore at first, he now has until the coronation in May:
“Everything feels final and like a cruel punishment. It’s like [the family] want to cut them out of the picture for good. Harry and Meghan have until early summer to vacate. At first it was only given a week, but now at least until after the coronation.
I mean… it’s only been a week.
Already, the couple has made plans to move their belongings to Montecito, California — including decorative ottomans and recliners. How are Meghan and Harry taking the eviction news? Well, the insider further claimed to Omid that the couple was “surprised” by the whole situation. He’s not the only one either! Two members of the royal family were also reportedly “shocked” by the eviction news. While Omid didn’t mention who the two were, Sussex was close Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie – so it won’t surprise anyone if he has a strong opinion on the decision to ditch Harry and Meghan by giving them a home in England. Well, it’s going to his dad, but we hear he doesn’t want to go there!
While Meghan and Harry are reportedly shocked by the eviction, it seems they’re not willing to mess with the situation — at least not when it’s in public! A source told Page Six the two “seem to be in very good spirits” when they go out San Vicente Bungalows in Los Angeles hours before the eviction news broke. Furthermore, a source previously reported that Harry has “no regrets” despite the book causing tension with his family:
“Harry said that he was very happy about the success of the book and the reaction. He said that he did not regret the revelation, and that he was relieved that the story was out in the world. There was an amazing reaction. Prince Harry had planned to add at least one chapter new … to a paperback version … coming out late this year or early next, when hardcover sales are over.
He might regret it now that he no longer has a seat when he returns to an important royal event. Don’t they have any plans anymore??
