King Charles Pays Tribute To Queen Elizabeth On First UK Mother’s Day Since Her Death

King Charles III it remembers Queen Elizabeth II on the first Mother’s Day in England since his death.

The 74-year-old king took it to the royal family officials Instagram account was to pay tribute to the last queen – who died in September at the age of 96 – on holiday. Alongside a sweet throwback picture of King Charles as a child standing on Queen Elizabeth’s lap, he wrote:

“To all mothers everywhere, and to those who may be missing their mothers today, we are thinking of you and wishing you a special #MothersDay.”

The post also includes a snapshot of Queen Camilla standing and smiling with his mother, Rosalind Shandwho died in 1994. You can see a touching tribute (below):

Prince William and Princess Catherine AKA Kate Middleton also marked the holiday by sharing a series of family photos on Insta – including one featuring the Princess of Wales and her three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotteand Prince Louis – sitting on a tree.
