King Ayi Tunnmaa II and Ga-Dangme lands administration to spearhead development of sustainable cities and advocate for youth employment in Greater Accra

“Seeing young teenagers, especially women who have traveled from all over the country to live in the greater center of Accra, where they dream of equal opportunities, but have met with hardship and suffering, forced to live in hardship for accommodation. This should be a concern for our traditional leaders and politicians”.

‘King’ as he is affectionately known, said he plans to collaborate with all stakeholders, especially the traditional authorities in the traditional area of Ga-Dangme to solve this problem that has increased the dysfunctional cyclical generation of the social fabric that binds the family together.

King Ayi Tunnmaa II said the 25-year GA-DAGNME DEVELOPMENT PLAN that will be presented during the official launch of GDLA will incorporate a program to register projects that will bring development, occupation and accommodation. This plan was to alleviate the economic hardships that the Ga-Dangme kingdom was suffering from.

According to the king, Ghana is one nation and Ghanaians are all one people with different cultures and traditions, therefore Ga-Dangme which has been hosting these diverse lineages for centuries will always provide a friendly environment for all people.

He further urged the need for joint efforts by the chiefs of the Ga-Dangme kingdom and all kingdoms and stakeholders in the other 15 regions to form a united front and dialogue to find ways to solve this problem.

This plan will provide land in the area that can be developed to provide affordable housing units. GDLA will also create workshops to provide vocational training and skills in various areas to create linear representation in opportunities.

We will not leave them to their fate, but we will do what we can with the vision of what we are now as custodians of the Greater Accra land to ensure an inclusive environment for success.

Raja Ayi called for unity and cooperation among the Ga-Dangme nation so that together with GDLA the goals and objectives of the Ga-Dangme kingdom can be achieved..

King ended by saying “Omanye a bla Ga-Dangme ke Ghana man mu3 f33”. “Good luck to Ga-Dangme and all Ghanaians.
